Only two changes to losing Tri-Nations squad

MONDAY, 1.30PM:

THE Springbok selectors have made two forced changes to the squad to play against Australia in the final Tri-nations Test match at Loftus Versveld Stadium on Saturday.

Johan Erasmus replaces Andre Venter — who is suspended for three weeks after being sent off for stamping on All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick, and Warren Brosnihan replaces injured Ruben Kruger. Erasmus gets his second starting cap after he replaced Kruger in the final Test match against the British Lions. Brosnihan, who plays number 8 for Gauteng Lions, gets his first cap on the openside flank.

On the bench, Franco Smith replaces Joe Gillingham. National coach Carel du Plessis hopes that lock Kynauw Otto, who is suffering from a rib injury, will be fit and available for selection.
