Wednesday’s fixtures

TUESDAY, 9.35AM:

ORLANDO PIRATES, Mamelodi Sundowns and kaizer Chiefs return to the Premier Soccer League action on Wednesday and Thursday after being involved in the Rothmans Cup semi-finals last weekend.

Pirates host Supersport United at FNB Stadium on Wednesday. Piarates and SS United have met twice this season and on both occasions Pirates beat SS United 1-0.

Sundowns have a date with Vaal Professionals at Iscor Stadium on Wednesday.The in-form Brazilians are expected to litterally walk over the “Vaal Monsters”. In Augustine Makalakalane, Roger Feutmba and Alex Bapela, Sundowns have got what it takes to beat the “Monsters”.

Kaizer Chiefs play Wits University at Ellis Park Stadium on Thursday. The game was initially scheduled for the Johannesburg Stadium but after the Two Nations in Concert at the weekend, the game was switched to the neighbouring Ellis Park because of the condition of the pitch.

RAPATSA WANTS TO TSAY IN JO’BURGTRANSFER-listed Kaizer Chiefs striker Mike Rapatsa wants to play for any Johannesburg-based Premier Soccer League club. “I don’t think I will move out of Johannesburg,” he said. Rapatsa has been training on his under the watchful eye of Zambian coach Pat Milaso.

BIG MAC IN THE WP SQUADBRIAN McMillan has been included in the Western Province cricket squad for the Standard Bank League matches against Eastern Province and North West at the weekend. Province play North West at Newlands on Friday and Eastern Province in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
