FOUR golfers held the lead at different stages during the third round of the Vodacom Players’ Championship on Saturday, but it was Chris Davison who claimed it. The San Lameer professional shot a 67 at the Royal Durban Golf Club to surge to 10-under par 206. A stroke behind were Andre Cruse, who blazed around the par-72 layout in 65, the low round of the tournament so far, and second-round leader Wayne Bradley, whose 70 put him on nine-under 206. Clinton Whitelaw, who had a hole-in-one on the eighth hole, was third on seven-under par 209 following a 67, with Nic Henning a stroke adrift thanks to a 70.
