LOUBSER SPINS ON

KOSIE LOUBSER and the South African team continue to impress in cycling’s Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia. While finishing in the pack 30 seconds behind the leaders in a breakaway in the Tour’s sixth stage on Monday, Loubser and his team maintained their standings with respect to professional outfits like USA’s Mapei and Saturn teams. While Saturn’s Frank McCormack leads the race so far, Loubser is a solid third at only 32 seconds back. These strong showings notwithstanding, Loubser, tops among South Africasn competing, is out of the points race and the “King of the Mountain” [climbing] competitions so far. The South African team is rated 6th, with an aggregate time five minutes and 54 seconds off the leader’s (Acceptcard)’s pace.
