THE draw for next year’s African Nations Cup finals has been set for August 28 in Lagos, the Confederation of African Football announced on Saturday. The Nigerian capital is also to be the site of next year’s final. The Nations Cup is being co-hosted by Ghana and Nigeria. No details were given on the seedings for the draw but both hosts, holders Egypt and the 1998 runners-up South Africa are expected to be put at the head of the four first round groups. Fifteen countries have already qualified with one of Eritrea, Senegal and Zimbabwe to complete the line-up once they have finished their play-off group.
