MAN TO BE BURIED ALIVE

WOOD craftsman Samson Mudzunga intends to defy death at the age of 65 and spend six days buried alive in a home-made wooden coffin from October 9. Mudzunga says his performance is a protest about the role of drum makers in society he claims that only people with connections to royal families are recognised, and he is a commoner. Mudzungu is charging R5 a head for people who want to see him being buried. But then, of course, he intends to emerge six days later, a richer and a wiser man. “I am going to take a short trip to heaven,” he said, “you should come and witness it.”
