BARKER’S SUSPENSION LIFTED

FORMER Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker has been reinstated by Amazulu on Tuesday after a three-day suspension. Barker was suspended after allegedly making disparaging remarks about the AmaZulu players. He also failed to turn up for a training session last week. Barker faced a disciplinary hearing in Durban on Tuesday for bringing the club in disrepute. But the former national coach who steered Bafana Bafana to victory in the 1996 African Nations Cup said it is nothing serious. He said he will continue coaching the club from Wednesday. Speculation that Barker intends heading for a club in China, was fueled last weekend when he wasn’t on the bench for AmaZulu’s league match against Mother City. But Barker won’t say if he intends making the move to China. He said he’s pleased with the way things are going with AmaZulu after the uncertain future of the club last year.
