A CASE against exiled Albanian King Leka and four bodyguards on charges of keeping an illegal arsenal was postponed until September 28 by a Johannesburg magistrate on Wednesday. Police investigating officer Captain Noel Zeeman told the Randburg Regional Court the director of public prosecutions has yet to make a decision on whether to proceed with the case and that “certain problems” have first to be sorted out. Leka’s February 5 arrest came a day after the South African government lifted his diplomatic immunity, granted by the apartheid government in 1991. A police raid discovered a cache of about 70 weapons, several explosives and 14,000 rounds of ammunition — as well as more than 200 passports and 10 passport templates.
