GOLD AS SA THRASH ZIM

THE South African women’s hockey team beat Zimbabwe 8-0 to take gold in the All-Africa Games at the Randburg Astro-turf on Saturday. Zimbabwe had to settle for silver, while Kenya earlier won bronze after beating Namibia 3-2. South Africa dominated most of the play as Zimbabwe battled to keep their southern African neighbours at bay. The South Africans could have scored more goals but their finishing on some occasions was not good enough.
