MPUMA HEADMASTERS IN TROUBLE

SCHOOL principals in Mpumalanga who witheld year-end exam results will face disciplinary action on Wednesday. According to education MEC Craig Padayachee, the department will take the principals to task as soon as possible. Earlier, Padayachee gave principals a deadline to issue results after parents complained about results being witheld. The deadline has expired an principals who have not yet released results will be charged with misconduct. Padayachee said that pupils cannot be punished for something that they are not responsible for, as it is the duty of parents, and not pupils, to pay school fees.
