Are you ready for Armageddon?

Babylon

The dragon (Satan)

One third

Twelve foundation stones and 12 gates representing ”the 12 apostles of the lamb”

One thousand years; after which he will be ”loosed a little season”

”The first creature was like a lion, the second like an ox, the third had a human face, the fourth was like an eagle in flight”

Seven, from Asia

The ”Four Horsemen” are riding a white horse for oppression, a red horse for war, a black horse for famine and a pale horse for death

The beast and the false prophet

Shame, shame. A silly quiz like this is not the place to get answers of belief. That said, here goes: Revelations mentions Armageddon three different times. During Armageddon, the forces of God finally and forever defeat Satan. The Book predicts lots of collateral damage in the battle, which means bad things for us mere mortals. As to when this is supposed to happen, interpretations vary.

Literally, Revelation says Armageddon will occur 1 000 years after Satan is locked up in the bottomless pit. One might assume that means he’ll be ”loosed” pretty soon, right? Well, Biblical scholars suggest that Satan was locked up when Christ died and was resurrected, an estimated 2 000 years ago. Revelation literally suggested that Armageddon should have happened 1 000 years ago. Perhaps God works on a different calendar?
