SPRINGBOK assistant coach Alan Solomons has confirmed that he will coach the Stormers in next year’s Super-12 competition.
Solomons is contracted to Western Province until 31 December 2000, and in terms of the contract, Western Province are obliged to use their best endeavours to secure his appointment as Stormers coach.
The South African Rugby Football Union has also approached Solomons to coach the Stormers.
Springbok coach Nick Mallett has also requested that Solomons ”be his Assistant Coach for the full duration of his appointment, until 31 December 2001.”
