COURT WITHHOLDS NAMES OF FAURE THREE

THREE men, including a police sergeant and a police reservist, appeared in the Kuils River Magistrate’s Court on Thursday in connection with an attempted break-in at the police forensic laboratory in Faure, outside Cape Town, on Tuesday. The court has ruled that their names should not be published. The three were not asked to plead and the case was postponed to January 6. The attempted break-in was foiled when a silent alarm was activated at the laboratory. Police said the three were after the large quantities of drugs stored at the laboratory. The have denied claims that the break-in is linked to the series of recent bomb blasts in Cape Town.
