NAMIBIA BLAMES UNITA FOR LATEST AMBUSH

NAMIBIAN police blamed Unita fighters on Sunday for the latest attack on the country’s tense border with Angola. Three nurses were among four Namibians killed in a Friday ambush in the northern Caprivi region, close to the spot where a family of French holiday-makers were attacked and three children murdered on January 3. Windhoek said that it suspects Angolan Unita rebels for the first attack, and police said that they reckoned the rebels are again to blame, after suvivors reported the armed gang spoke Portuguese and wore green army uniforms.
