NO MONEY FOR FLOOD REPAIRS

THE Northern Province will need at least an extra R7m to fix roads and bridges damaged by recent storms, but there is no indication that the cash-strapped province has the money for this. On Monday premier Ngoako Ramatlhodi toured some of the affected areas by helicopter with public works MEC Collins Chabane, and said repairing the damage is a priority. But, as they both told hard-hit villagers near Burgersfort, on the Mpumalanga border, everything depends on how much money is available.
