The half-time score was 10-6 in favour of Griquas. Griquas skipper Luther Bakkes, playing at hooker, scored for Griquas as did lock Hanu Nel. Edrich Lubbe converted both tries and added a penalty. Bertus Heunis scored for the Falcons while Louis van Rensburg kicked three penalties and a conversion.
