THE announcement of the Springbok squad for the upcoming tests against Canada and England in June has been postponed due to the possibility of the Cats or Stormers making the Super 12 semi-finals. The announcement, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to a later date which will be determined after a meeting of the Springbok selectors in Cape Town on May 15th. The original date was set because the selectors did not think that any of the teams in the Super 12 would make the playoffs. Francois Davids, chairman of the Springbok selectors said that the delay gives the selectors one last chance to look at candidates.
