A YOUNG Northern Province couple have been arrested after their newborn baby boy was thrown to the ground and its father jumped on it several times. The battered body was then thrown into a pit toilet. Police said the mother had given birth along a river, with the father present, and that once it was born, the father threw it to the ground and jumped on it until it died. The mother and father are in their 20s and lived in Enable village at Sekororo near Tzaneen. They were arrested after police received a tip-off and will appear in court soon on murder charges. – African Eye News Service
