One of the surviving sons of a Belgian pastor jailed for life for killing two of his wives and four of his children was arrested because of fears that he might begin his own killing spree, reports said on Sunday.
Television reports said Andras Aron Pandy’s arrest was ordered by courts after he reportedly vowed to ”carry on my father’s work.”
His Hungarian-born father Andras Pandy became known as the ”Devil’s Pastor” over the grisly murders he carried out.
The 75-year-old was also convicted of raping three of his natural or adopted daughters in a string of attacks in the late 1980s. He was jailed for life in March.
Court testimony revealed that some of the victims’ remains had been dissolved in acid baths, while others had been chopped up and left in gutters.
His daughter Agnes (44) was also found guilty of five of the six murders and was jailed for 21 years. She was a key witness against her father. – Sapa-AFP
