GADAFFI’S SON ON PARIS HUMANITARIAN SAFARI

SEIF al-Islam, son of Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, is to visit Paris next week on a cultural mission to coincide with the return of regular Paris to Tripoli flights, Libya’s ambassador to Unesco said on Monday. The 30-year-old, who is head of the Gaddafi’s Foundation and has said he wants to be seen as a worldwide humanitarian ambassador, will arrive next Monday at the head of a 70-strong cultural and sporting delegation and stay for five days, Ambassador Mohamed Alaswad said. During his stay, he will inaugurate an exhibition of his own paintings at the Institute of the Arab World and address a seminar on Franco-Libyan relations at the French Institute for Foreign Relations. – AFP
