Wait no more for the Audi S4

Audi this week launched the current generation S4 in South Africa. This sporty flagship in the A4 range utilises Audi’s powerful 4.2 litre V8 engine which develops an eye watering 253kW of power at 7 000 rpm and 410 Newton metres of torque. The V8’s thrust enables the new Audi S4 with its 6-speed manual gearbox to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.6 seconds, with 200 km/h coming up in 20.6 seconds.

The new S4 – available in sedan or Avant (‘estate’ version) has quattro permanent all-wheel drive. Those in the know will recognise the sportiest Audi by the aggressive stance, the fully painted bumper with large air ducts, xenon headlights with contrasting titanium-coloured inner housing and chromed door mirrors.

Pricing starts at R507 000 for the S4 6-speed quattro manual (sedan) and goes up to R523 000 for the Avant. Included in the price is a free ‘S’ High Performance Driving Course from the Audi Advanced Driving Academy at Kyalami. The course comprises a full day’s theoretical and practical instruction in an Audi S4.
