Leopards hunt Dynamos

Black Leopards continued with their fine form under coach Shakes Mashaba when they beat their home town rivals Dynamos 2-0 at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday.

The defeat did nothing for Dynamos, who have hopes of avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

The home side finished the match without their influential defender Gerald Raphahlela who was sent off by referee Petros Mathabela for his second bookable offence in 54 minutes.

The visitors made full use of their advantage as they scored two goals after the send-off. Their first was struck by Mulondo Sikhwivhilu who drove a low shot home in the 75th minute.

Rudzani Ramudzulu put the match beyond the home side’s reach when his powerful shot from close range found an empty net in the 78th minute.

While Dynamos are staring relegation in the face, Leopards are on course to qualify for the top eight bracket at the end of the season and thus qualify for ther SAA Supa8 tournament in the new term. – Sapa
