Royals down Cosmos in crucial match

Zulu Royals beat Jomo Cosmos 2-0 in a crucial Castle Premiership encounter played at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The home side led 1-0 at interval.

Jackie Ledwaba scored Royals’ first goal in the 29th minute of this entertaining game — this after Lifa Tsutsulupa handled the ball inside the penalty box.

In the 58th minute Royals introduced Sani Adamu for John Maduka in search of a second goal. This movement was not entertained by fans who booed the player whenever in possession. This led to his being substituted in the 71st minute and Phumlani ”BMX” Mkhize took the field.

His introduction proved to be the right move as he netted uSuthu’s second goal after four minutes to the delight of their followers.

The result of this game kept uSuthu’s hope of escaping relegation alive although they are still second from the bottom of the table with just one game remaining. — Sapa
