South African media company Johnnic Communications (Johncom) said on Tuesday it will now change its name to Avusa on November 26 after shareholders gave the name change the green light.
The name was constructed in such a way so as to relate to the company’s vision and strategy, as it uses the words Audiovisual, Vision, Unique and Unity, and South Africa to make up Avusa.
The new logo almost looks like a mouse cursor pointing slightly north-east. It is filled with shades of teal and outlined in white, and some describe it as a three-dimensional arrow. The name Avusa sits beneath the logo. — I-Net Bridge
