Former South Africa all-rounder Shaun Pollock will play for English county Durham in the Twenty20 Cup this season, the club said on Wednesday.
Pollock, who retired from international cricket in February having played in 108 Test matches and more than 300 one-day internationals, will join up with Durham in June.
”When I got the offer from Durham I really jumped at the chance to get on board. They are determined to do well in the Twenty20 Cup and I want to contribute to that success,” Pollock said.
Pollock, who will be commentating for television during South Africa’s tour to England this year, joins former international teammates Dale Benkenstein, Durham’s captain, and Albie Morkel at the north-east club. — Reuters
