Manto shaken after emergency landing

Minister in the Presidency Manto Tshabalala-Msimang was lucky to be alive after a plane she was aboard performed an emergency landing on Thursday at Lanseria airport, the South African Broadcasting Corporation said.

”I was scared and it was devastating, I didn’t understand what was happening,” Tshabalala-Msimang said.

Earlier spokesperson of Minister in the Presidency, Thabo Masebe, said Tshabalala-Msimang was returning from a youth summit in Mafikeng and was headed to an AU meeting in Lesotho when her plane landed at about 4pm.

”The plane’s landing wheels failed to deploy but the pilot successfully managed to land the plane,” said Masebe.
