Bafana Wind Down Brazil Training Camp

After a successful first half of the Brazil training camp, Bafana Bafana are in São Paolo for the second leg of their training camp and are due to play three more practice matches.

On Thursday Carlos Parreira’s men will take on Desportivo Brazil before locking horns with Palmeiras on Saturday — both matches
kick-off at 3.30pm, local time.

Next week Bafana Bafana travel to Asuncion for a return fixture against Paraguay. The first match was played in South Africa with the hosts beating Paraguay 3-0 in Parreira’s last match in charge of Bafana Bafana during his first stint as coach of South Africa.

The last match on the tour of South America will be against Santos in São Paolo on Saturday, April 3. Bafana Bafana have so far played six practice matches, winning four and drawing two.

Meanwhile, Maritzburg United goalkeeper Shu-aib Walters has been called as a replacement for the injured Emile Baron. The SuperSport United goalkeeper had to return home last week due a shoulder injury.

Walters is expected in the next few days. Currently in camp there are two goalkeepers in Moeneeb Josephs and Itumeleng Khune. — Sapa
