Platinum Stars captain Stanley Kgatla has praised SuperSport United ahead of their league meeting.
Dinaledi travel to the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday with Kgatla well aware of the task that awaits them, yet he insists his side are ready to surprise their hosts.
A win for 11th-placed Stars would see them leapfrog United in ninth.
However, Kgatla is expecting an intense battle and expects to encounter a side hungry for points.
“SuperSport will obviously present a big challenge because they are a club who are used to winning trophies, and although they have lost a few players recently, such as Daine Klate to Orlando Pirates, and Tsietsi Mahoa and Hlompho Kekana to Bloemfontein Celtic, they are a very good side,” Kgatla wrote in his column on the club’s official website.
“They have not made the best of starts to the season so they will be desperate for the points, but we are aware of the dangers that they pose and have worked out some plans to counter them.’
“We have been working hard in training as well, practising our finishing, among other things, and I believe we are ready for the game,” he added. — www.football365.co.za
