Durban’s homegrown talent provides the soundtrack to the week.

This week’s concert by the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra is titled Variations on a Classical Theme and features Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 21 in C Major, Schubert’s ‘unfinished” Symphony No 8 and Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn. The concert’s soloist is celebrated South African pianist Jonathan Oshry. The orchestra will be conducted by Thomas Sanderling.
