Invites nominations for the prestigious
International Leadership Development Programme (ILDP)
Following the highly successful ILDP implemented annually since 2009, the W&RSETA is pleased to announce that the 2012 International Leadership Development Programme will be offered from June 2012 to February 2013. The programme is open to high potential Senior Managers who have been earmarked for Executive Management in their organisations, in the Wholesale and Retail Sector. The programme will focus on the accelerated development of managers who are drawn from Historically Disadvantaged Groups as articulated in the BBBEE Act, Section 9(5): Code of Good practice on Skills Development.
This intensive programme, delivered by the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), will run over an 8 month period commencing in June 2012 and includes a three-week international study tour.
The 2012 group of 40 participants will be split into two groups. One group will visit the UK, USA and Canada and the other group will go to India and China. Participants will attend five study blocks at GIBS as well as a five-day programme at the Penn State Smeal College of Business in the USA or an international business school in China.
Registered W&RSETA companies may nominate candidates for the programme. Special attention should be paid to the criteria for selection when making nominations.

Large companies are eligible to nominate up to 5 candidates, medium companies up to 3 candidates and small companies can nominate 2 candidates. Companies are NOT allowed to nominate more than the prescribed number of candidates.
Candidate interviews will take place during May and June 2012.
