ANC bigwigs Zweli Mkhize, Bathabile Dlamini and Zandile Gumede have been left off the national and provincial lists
The party’s secretary general said the ANC had removed people from its election candidates lists those who were affected by its step-aside rule and those with criminal records
The ruling party seems to have failed to remove tainted people from its parliamentary lists
But spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela said the party will only elect its officials after the 29 May national and provincial elections
But the ANC say it will not allow the EFF to threaten it
Paul Mashatile and Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula are understood to be included in the discussion of who should be barred from the party’s list of candidates
Zweli Mkhize says the party will address the costs of essentials such as food, housing, healthcare, energy, transport and wages
This is despite Fikile Mbalula announcing that those implicated in the Zondo commission will not be included if their names have not been cleared
