Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to miss another entire season due to a knee injury, the English Premiership club said on Monday. Solskjaer had experienced pain in his knee during pre-season training. A similar knee injury forced the striker to miss virtually all of last season.

Over 15 000 Iranians have registered for suicide missions in the holy Shi’ite cities in southern Iraq, the Tehran daily Hamshahri reported on Monday. Foruz Rajaifar, head of a local organisation for defending Islamic values, was quoted by the daily as saying that all of the volunteers were ready to defend Islam in southern Iraq or wherever else they were needed.
South African relief services said on Monday that they were feeding about 15 000 people in emergency shelters after heavy rains hit low-lying areas in Cape Town. ”The number of people affected is about 15 000 going by the fact that we are providing meals for that number,” said Johann Minnie, spokesperson for the city’s disaster management centre.
