Angola is literally a country on the move. To date 67 000 refugees have returned home from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and Namibia. Nobody in the record-size gathering of 82 957 will ever forget the night Jonny Wilkinson won the World Cup. England had the bloody thing in the bag twice, but lost it to the boot of Elton Flatley. Then, when it mattered, the Wilkinson drop goal snatched it with seconds left at the end of the second period of extra time.

The South Africa Rugby Players’ Association (Sarpa) will request an inquiry into the ”barbaric” military-style manner in which the Springboks were trained for the Rugby World Cup. Photographs of players standing naked in a freezing lake were published by local newspapers on Friday.

Flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson kicked a dropped goal with seconds left in extra time on Saturday to give England a 20-17 win over Australia in the Rugby World Cup final. It came one minute after Australian centre Elton Flatley had levelled the score at 17-17 with a penalty goal. Flatley and Wilkinson kicked four penalty goals each.

South Africa’s estimated 200 000 traditional healers will soon be regulated under the Traditional Health Practitioners Bill, to be enacted by Parliament next year. But many traditional healers are unaware of its contents and critics have raised various problems with its implementation.
