Israel dynamites home of suicide bomber

Israeli troops have dynamited the West Bank family home of a Palestinian suicide bomber who killed 19 people in the northern town of Haifa on Saturday. A 30-strong column of Israeli tanks and other armoured vehicles launched a pre-dawn raid in the West Bank town of Jenin, where a curfew was imposed on Saturday.

Schwarzenegger denounces sex pest claims

Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone on the attack, denouncing the latest sexual harassment allegations made against him as untrue and charging that all of the 11th-hour accusations were intended to wreck his campaign for governor. Kruger head to move on

The director of the Kruger National Park, David Mabunda, is tipped to become the new head of South African National Parks (SANParks). He will take over as CEO of the country’s 20 national parks from Mavuso Msimang, who has moved on to head the State Information Technology Agency.

Storms cut off New Zealand capital

One person has been reported dead and two missing after severe storms lashed New Zealand’s North Island, cutting off main arteries to the capital, Wellington, with floods and mudslides. Emergency officials are searching for two pilots whose cargo plane is thought to have crashed into the sea off the Kapiti coast.
