ANC denies arms involvement

The African National Congress said on Thursday it had no relationship whatsoever with Floryn Investments or Nkobi Holdings, responding to media reports that it owned Floryn Investments, via its nominee Schabir Shaik, and that Floryn owned 10% of Nkobi Holdings — a company that benefited from the arms deal.

Where are the young voters?

The Independent Electoral Commission has set aside the weekend of November 8 and 9 for voters to register for the 2004 elections. The commission is faced with the challenge of getting young voters interested, with only 1% of those aged 18 to 19 on the voters’ roll.

Armscor money woes continue
