The African National Congress was not aware of any imminent visit to its Johannesburg headquarters by Western Cape Premier Ebrahim Rasool, a spokesperson said on Monday. Rasool’s spokesperson Shado Twala also said she did know about the reported visit.

Western Cape Premier Ebrahim Rasool, who campaigned strongly in favour of President Thabo Mbeki in the run up to the Polokwane conference, has been summoned to African National Congress headquarters at Luthuli House in Johannesburg, the South African Broadcasting Corporation reported on Sunday.

Former National Intelligence Agency boss Billy Masetlha, newly elected to the African National Congress national executive committee, says President Thabo Mbeki and his Cabinet will be ”recalled” from their government positions unless they ”account” to Luthuli House, Business Day reported on Friday.
