McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton said on Thursday he had learnt his lesson and was ready to make amends in Spain this weekend for his disappointing last race in Bahrain. ”Obviously I won’t be making the same mistake again,” he told reporters at the Circuit de Catalunya.
World champion Kimi Raikkonen believes his Ferrari team are set to cement their recent resurgence by winning this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix. As Formula One continues to reel from the controversy surrounding a sex scandal involving Max Mosley the leading teams have all upgraded their cars in preparation for the start of the ”European” season.
Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Barcelona to brace themselves for an Old Trafford backlash when the two sides resume battle next week. An enthralling goalless draw in Barcelona on Wednesday has left the Champions League semifinal between the two clubs delicately poised but Ferguson is confident there will be no repeat of what was a subdued display by his team.

The first cellphones fitted with Google’s Android software platform made their debut at an industry trade show on Monday, a milestone for the internet giant as it looks to dominate the wireless world. A handful of chip makers showed off prototype handsets at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Australian rider Casey Stoner won the Catalunyan MotoGP in Barcelona on Sunday to record his fourth victory in seven races this season. The Ducati rider beat home Italian star Valentino Rossi while Spaniard Dani Pedrosa was third. ”There was a lot of overtaking going on out there,” admitted Stoner.
Ferrari’s Felipe Massa won the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday to leave 22-year-old rookie Lewis Hamilton on top of the world as Formula One’s youngest championship leader. Double world champion Alonso finished third, eclipsed before his 140 700 strong home crowd by his McLaren teammate and the Brazilian winner.
The main attention will be on home favourite Fernando Alonso and his astonishing teammate Lewis Hamilton at the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix, but Nick Heidfeld and his BMW team are ready for action as well. Two-time world champion Alonso knows about Heidfeld’s strength first-hand.

Only a few days ago, Liverpool’s Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise were battling each other in a training-camp fracas, but the pair joined forces to give Liverpool a memorable 2-1 win at Barcelona on Wednesday.
