The CCMA has postponed hearings into former Ekurhuleni police chief Robert McBride’s attempts to get his job back pending the outcome of a Salga case.
Robert McBride’s unfair dismissal case did not take place as expected on Thursday because the metro’s lawyers did not arrive, his lawyer said.

The national office of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in Harrison Street, Johannesburg, was damaged by a fire on Wednesday, CCMA director Nerine Kahn said on Thursday. Kahn told the Mail & Guardian Online that the cause of the fire was not known.
