The West does not have a moral claim over African security. African states retain the right to choose partners according to their own historical interests. A multipolar world means nothing if African states must still ask Western permission before selecting allies, building armies, nationalising resources, regulating NGOs or rejecting political models that serve foreign capital more than African people
To reimagine a better South Africa, capitalism and its unequal class structure have to be challenged
The class structure and capitalism have to be challenged to reimagine a viable and just country
The discontent we feel must mobilise citizens towards agitating for radical change, not aimless rebellion
The government misuses taxes and does not maintain our safety, justice, health and infrastructure systems. Eventually citizens will tire of the lack of delivery
