Els, Woods and Price favourites for Sun City

ERNIE ELS, Tiger Woods and last year’s winner Nick Price will make their appearance as favourites at the Sun City Million Dollar Golf challenge which starts on Thursday.

The three are part of the competition’s strongest-ever field, which includes six of the top seven players in the world. Woods, the world number-one, heads the field and will face 11 other opponents including his best friend Mark O’Meara.

O’Meara has had a highly successful year at the age of 41, winning the Masters and the British Open.

Other top competitors will be debutant Englishman Lee Westwood, American Justin Leonard, Scotsman Colin Montgomerie, American David Duval, compatriot Jim Furyk, German ace Bernhard Langer, Swede Jesper Parnevik and Davis Love III’s replacement Tom Watson.
