FRIDAY 11.00AM
INVESTMENT in SA by United States companies is growing at 25% a year despite the country’s widely publicised crime problem, a US chamber of commerce official said yesterday.
Bill Mallory, the chamber’s immediate past president, said: “A crime survey by the US business community, which is duye to be released soon, shows that crime still does not seem to be a deterrent to US investment which is coming in and adapting to and coming to terms with it.”
Mallory was speaking at the opening of a chamber office in KwaZulu-Natal, intended to facilitate trade and access to Southern African markets.
