Cosmos eye Mandela Cup finals

MONDAY, 2.00PM:

JOMO COSMOS beat Dynamos of Zimbabwe 2-0 at the PAM Brink Stadium on Saturday, putting them in the quarterfinals of the African Cup Winners’ Cup with a 3-2 aggregate.

Mozambican import Nuro Taulibudine scored the first goal just before half time off a free kick, and the second goal came in the last minute of the second half, when Taulibudine took aim and hapless Dynamos goalkeeper George Mandidzvidza tried to block the kick with a hand, but ended up sending the ball into his own goal.

Cosmos coach Jomo Sono said after the game: “We are going to take things one step at a time. For now our minds are only on the quarterfinals and nothing else.”
