Weekend Premier Soccer League action

MONDAY, 11.30AM:

MOROKA SWALLOWS and Real Rovers played to a goalless draw in their Castle Premier Soccer League match at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday. Rovers face being relegated if they do not boost their performance soon.

Kaizer Chiefs and Qwa Qwa Stars called off their match, after rain left the Free State Rugby Stadium soggy. The game started in the downpour, but by half time playing conditions had deteriorated, and referee Ian McCleod ended the goalless match.

Sundowns and Witbank Aces called off their clash on Sunday for the same reasons.

Bloemfontein Celtic beat Supersport United 3-1 at Pretoria Technikon on Saturday, after a 1-1 draw at halftime. Celtic took the lead in the 13th minute when Godfrey Morena netted a pass from Thulani Nkosi. United mid-fielder Zane Alexander levelled the score in the 38th minute, but Celtic dominated the second half. The winning goals came in quick succession from Jan Kotoane in the 76th minute, and Morena in the 78th minute.
