FRIDAY, 6.00PM:
PSYCHOLOGIST Dr Micky Pistorius has provided police with a preliminary description of the Phoenix serial killer, wanted for at least 18 murders.
The murderer is a Zulu man aged between 30 and 40 who is able to gain the confidence of women by offering them employment. He is probably not a wanted criminal.
“He will not have any outstanding features which would attract any attention. He knows the Phoenix area very well and could therefore be a local resident,” Pistorius said.
She added he was intelligent and probably had a high school education. There are no indications that the suspect used a car in any of the crimes.
Police meanwhile said they had identified four of the 18 murdered women, but are withholding their names. All the victims are aged under 30, and one is a tenager of 16. Themurders were committed between August 1994 and July of this year.
