Bok team unchanged apart from injury replacement

TUESDAY, 11.30AM:

ANDREW AITKEN, who replaces injured Johan Erasmus in the Springbok squad to play against England in Saturday’s Test at Twickenham, is the only change in the team.

Bobby Skinstad will take Aitken’s place on the reserve bench and Free State’s Willie Meyer takes over from Dawie Theron as the reserve prop. Meyer was preferred to Theron for his extra speed.

Coach Nick Mallett did not have a difficult time in picking his squad. “When a side plays like they did against France it doesn’t make it difficult for the coach to decide,” he said. Fullback Justin Swart, who has just recovered from a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the French Test series, will fill Braam Els’s place on the reserves bench.

THE TEAM: Percy Montgomery, James Small, Andre Snyman, Dick Muir, Pieter Rossouw; Henry Honiball, Werner Swanepoel; Gary Teichmann, Andre Venter, Andrew Aitken, Mark Andrews, Krynauw Otto, Adrian Garvey, James Dalton, Os du Randt. RESERVES: Justin Swart, Jannie de Beer, Dan van Zyl, Bobby Skinstad, Willie Meyer, Naka Drotske.
