Real Rovers beat Santos

TUESDAY, 11.30AM:

REAL Rovers eased their relegation woes slightly by beating Santos 3-1 in a Castle premiership match at the Athlone Stadium on Monday night.

Rovers started a counter attack that gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes, courtesy of Thabo Shai. Santos equalised in the 72nd minute when Skoknati Mqobungo’s shot was deflected into the goal by Notoane.

Shai scored again right after half time, and Santos’s fate was sealed when Matshobane Maphalla rocketed one in from 25 metres, past a hapless Merikane Mpgani.
