BRAZILIAN Football Federation president Ricardo Texeirra will be part of a delegation that will visit South Africa in December on a fact-finding mission, and former Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira will arrive on November 20 to be interviewed for the Bafana Bafana coaching position, The Star reports.
The visit by the Brazilians comes in the wake of a trip taken to the country over the weekend by 2006 World Cup bid committee CEO Danny Jordaan. South Africa’s bid aspirations are expected to be boosted by the Brazilians’ visit.
Meanwhile, Parreira is set to be interviewed on November 22, after which the reports on the five candidates for the coaching job will be finalised.
