Mandela,Chissano discuss Angola intervention

President Nelson Mandela is expected to discuss the Angolan war and whether Southern African Development Conference troops may be sent there with Mozambican President Joaquim Chissano after arriving in Mozambique on Wednesday. Mandela is attending the second national conference of the Association of Veterans of the National Liberation Struggle which is being chaired by Chissano. Mandela will unveil a memorial to Mozambican President Samora Machel on January 19. Chissano will also attend the ceremony at Mbuzini in Mpumalanga, near the site where Machel was killed in an air crash in 1986.
