NAMIBIAN journalists Andreas Frai and cameraman Vincent Spiegel were arrested in the Botswana capital, Gaborone, on Tuesday and released on Wednesday afternoon, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation reports. The journalists were in the country to report on the court appearance of former Namibian opposition leader Mishake Muyongo and 92 others, allegedly involved in a movement for the independence of Namibia’s north-eastern Caprivi strip. The Namibians fled to Botswana last year to ask for political asylum.They were to appear in court on Monday on charges of illegal entry and possession of weapons of war.
