TREVOR Phillips, former chief executive Officer of the Professional Soccer League (PSL), launched a company on Tuesday that will be one of the first African-based sports management groups to apply for Fifa accreditation. “The company will focus on providing the soccer industry with a two-pronged service — player management and sports marketing,” Phillips said. “While the organisation has strong soccer connections, it will also represent several other sports codes including rugby, cricket, swimming and surfing.” Phillips, director of Pormarksport, said that the company has recently signed Kaizer Chiefs and SA under-23 striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, AmaZulu duo Kamal Sait and Ernest Marumo and Manning Rangers’ Bradley Muir.
